This May you can run your heart out at Homewood Day, delight the kiddos with inflatables, rides, and activities, and try your hand with the chalk at the Sidewalk Art Show. Admission is free for the festival but to ride and play on the attractions it’s recommended to purchase an all-day unlimited attractions wristband ($15).
Although this is a hotspot for various Homewood park events and so many great things to participate in, the park outside of special events is worth the visit too. With picnic tables, a large playground, walking trails, and an expanse of wide open green space, there is enjoyment for all ages.
Patriot Park is a beautifully quiet park located adjacent to the Senior Center in the West Homewood Neighborhood. This park has been renovated to include walking paths, a playground for the kids, and two pavilions for relaxation and a shady retreat. West Homewood Park is the largest of the parks in Homewood. Although currently closed for construction, this multi-use park will be reopening soon with several sports fields, batting cages, and tennis courts for all sports enthusiasts to get their game on!
